Things You Think Add Value to Your Home... But Really Don't

Thinking of renovating, but not sure where to put your dollars?  Every day I see homes with various upgrades, and my buyers often come up with the same questions, such as: why is the kitchen upgraded, but the walls desperately need new paint?  Why install new laminate flooring in the bedrooms, but leave stained, used carpet in the living room?  Sometimes the most simple upgrades and a little bit of elbow grease go a long way in terms of how much a buyer is willing to pay, and how long a property sits on the market.
