Here's the latest news release from the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton. We're seeing the usual increase in sales activity and strong price gains especially for condos (which often means that for the month, more expensive condos were purchased, rather than all condos gaining in value by 7%). In any case, solid market activity suggests a strong spring ahead, with plenty of activity.

The prime rate remains at 3%.
The Bank of Canada doesn't expect the economy to reach full capacity until the second half of 2014.
The latest Edmonton real estate forecasts for 2013 are rolling in. Predictions vary but are generally moderate. Royal LePage is predicting a 1% increase (click here for the full Edmonton Journal article), REALTORS®Association of Edmonton President Darrel Cook is predicting 2% increase for houses and 1% increase for condos in greater Edmonton, and CMHC's David Lan is predicting a 2% increa ...
It's that time that homeowners either love or hate: property assessments are being mailed out today from the City of Edmonton. The City's interactive map shows how much the City believes your neighborhood's value has changed as of July 2012 (the City assessments are intended to reflect market value on July of the previous calendar year).
